TRAITS

SOCIALLY
inquisitive and energetic, he's eager to get to know a new face and share with them the boon of their existence. much unlike the felines miqo'te are likened to, mana'to's physically social nature is more puppy-like, often chastised for desiring to be in, around, and on the company of others. he's a barely restrained serial cuddler who wants to know everything about you.
he finds himself an exceptionally emotional person, commonly beset by the intensity of his own feelings and when left to his own devices for too long, has a terrible tendency to overthink everything.COMBATIVELY
utilizing the body as a catalyst with alchemic tattoos similar to arcanima, mana'to's spells are channeled first in the chest by harnessing a combination of aether from both the self and the environment, and channeled through the circuitry of body art to the mouth where they are projected as a song.
while the ancient art was founded on a need for curative and warding spells, in combination with wind based aether thanks to his grasp of geomancy, mana'to has newly grasped offensive usage of his song magics.

THE ZHENJHO TRIBE

A Keeper of the Moon tribe once come from the lush lands of Meracydia under the fierce yet benevolent gaze of Bahamut.Though they did not mingle much in the inner cities, they were no less kind to those who would arrive at their field-side caves in search of guidance and succor. Not given to the wealth they would amass through their wares, they fashioned themselves quest-givers, offering a large boon to the odd adventurer who sought to aid their people.Using a form of magic seen as a fusion between a bard's ballads, conjury and arcanima, they covered their bodies in a myriad of tattoos that are used to channel their inner aether, which is then brought to life in the form of a healing song. These songs were crafted from their own tongue, and many of them were said to carry the very essence of their history in them, though their ancient tongue has since faded into obscurity in their absence.Seers were their travelers and messengers, carrying their history on a bardic melody while aiding those in need. They had a unique power to read and soothe the aether of the mind, catching glimpses of a person's past to string together a suggested path for their future. It was for these reasons that outsiders deemed them "fortune tellers".Though they hail an undisclosed number of major and minor deities that inhabit and represent facets of nature, it was with great respect that they bowed their head to any Gods others believed in. They held fast a strict belief that the world and its gifts were to be shared, that their own deities were merely conduits by which these gifts were given. Every disease, every drought, every shortcoming was merely the spirits taking the time they needed to recover, and a test of endurance for mortals. They were a long lived lot, but with the uprising of the Allagan empire they were all but smeared out of existence in the Allagans' greed for knowledge.—These were the statements held within a document of Sharlayan origin, based on a collection of stories in barely salvaged tomes.

HISTORY

Life in Meracydia was what others might deem a dream. The lands were lush with golden fields of wheat and herbs, the mountains rich with minerals, the trees ripe with fruit.Born into the role of a seer, Mana'to was gifted with the inherent ability to read and soothe chaotic aether, receiving the honorary mark on his forehead once he'd come of age. Destined to travel and spread the wealth of their abilities among the people of the continent, he was grown with a kindness unrivaled, ever smiling and ever accommodating.Long of life were the Zhenjho, given the ability to watch at least two full generations come to pass before they would succumb to age themselves. They would watch as the Allagans rose to power over their beloved Meracydia, the Empire's might overtaking Bahamut and enslaving his children. When Allag turned its eyes to the Zhenjho, it would be all too soon. They were smeared out in merely a breath, some chosen for study and the remaining few placed in chambers where they would be brought forth when needed...but no one had ever come. They were simply discarded, research left untouched for bigger more interesting endeavors, and eventually left upon Azys Lla where they would remain in slumber as the Allagans faded from existence. Were it not for the brave few that sought Azys Lla during the Dragonsong war, Mana'to and the small handful of Zhenjho may never have had their chance at life.Released from their chambers and ferried back to Eorzea, they were reintroduced to life hundreds of years from where they were, not unlike their Meracydia, but still a far cry from the world familiar to them. This would not deter Mana'to however, due mourning would make way for a kindness ever fiercer, and it would start with an application to the Serpents of Gridania.

DO's & DON'T's

thank you so much for stopping by!my name's aven, i'm 30+, in EST, and i don't rp that often, but i'm not totally closed to the idea. i prefer to play my character as a supporting role, someone characters find comfort to confide in, break bread with, or even drag along as a third wheel / party filler. i'm not against taking a bigger role of course, it's just where i find that mana'to shines best.

NOTES
• sometimes i suck and switch past/present tense.
• i'm not overly interested
• i rp very sporadically and sometimes have to quit a scene due to issues with focusing.
• i'm very likely to take long writing breaks!!! seriously if this bugs you, please don't approach me for rp.
